Toshiba's top of the toshiba-pa3384u-1bas is certainly one of the more attractive netbooks we've seen. A mixture of silver, pearl and white diagonal lines stripe the lid, monitor bezel and trackpad.Toshiba can't be blamed for the lack of evolution in the netbook platform, however infuriating it might be. Until someone deigns progress necessary (or nVidia ION systems begin to hit the shelves) all toshiba-pa3384u-1bas-battery can do is make the best product possible under the limitations created by Microsoft and Intel. Toshiba has done just that with its second netbook, the NB200. The white lid features a positively gigantic logo, and will instantly turn off anyone who doesn't feel like being a company billboard. Internally, the pearl bezel is much more subtle, with the usual webcam and microphone embedded at the top.

There is also a near full sized keyboard, and an extra large trackpad, which makes using the netbook even easier. A great feature of the Toshiba NB200, which I have yet to see on any other netbooks is an accelerometer monitoring system, Toshiba PA3165U-1ACA can detect knocks and vibrates, to protect the internal hard drive.VGA out, an SD card reader, microphone and headphone outputs fulfil the port quota, while internally a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Bluetooth and 802.11g keep things pumping.LED status lights run across the right side of the lip; however, these are effectively useless when using the laptop as they simply can't be seen.While the centrally placed power button on the hinge is unusual, toshiba-dynabook-ss-m3-battery doesn't get in the way. More concerning is the white glow it gives off, its central position making it distracting when trying to focus on the screen. While we found we got used to it, some may find it too annoying to deal with.
Outside of this particular feature, though, connectivity is completely unremarkable. On the left there's a VGA out, line-in and line-out jacks, an Ethernet port and the powered USB port. On the front is an SD card reader, while the right-side houses the other two non-powered USB ports, the power input and a lock-slot.It's battery life that's the most important on these tiny laptops, and in this regard the toshiba-dynabook-vx-series-battery performed excellently, with screen brightness and volume set to maximum,It's fine for day-to-day internet and office productivity tasks, but don't expect it to be suitable for gaming or playback of high-definition YouTube content, the hardware simply can't keep up.
